: The Leonard Knott homestead before it was torn down in 1977. The house was built in the fall of 1827. My grandmother, Virgie Mae Knott was born in this house. It stood for 150 years and was lived in by 4 generations of the Knott family. Charles Carroll Millay and his family lived here from 1950 – 1957. William “Bill” Meserve now owns this farm.
